Design In Motion was started by a group of people who simply wanted a better recliner.  We’ve all spent countless hours searching furniture stores for the perfect chair only to see the same recliners over and over again.  Through that frustration we decided to design our own perfect chair. 

Made in 3 colors of Italian leather.  Cut, sewn and built by craftsmen in High Point, NC. The Layla has a U.S made power mechanism and a manual tilting headrest with 2.5″ of travel.  Perfect for watching TV while reclined. 

We also made the Layla with a 2.5″ wall proximity.  No more putting your recliner 15″to 18″ from the wall and taking up space in your home. 

We use Ultra Cell High Resilience foam for superior comfort and durability and our frames are router cut 7/8″ engineered hardwood for construction consistency. 

Layla is our first introduction and we couldn’t be more excited. Welcome to the start of our journey.
